channel and with our IT group to be able
to have all of our counselors meet and
vote virtually on a virtual voting platform
and conduct meetings via Webex.”
Among its other responses to the virus
was a partnership between the city, the
public library, two school boards and its
regional innovation centre. “That involved
collecting up all of the 3D printers that
were present across those organisations
and setting them up at the central library
branch. This resulted in a lab of 25 to 30
devices printing PPE face shields, which
were then distributed and provided back
to the city and then also distributed out to
agencies in need.”
