well...it’ssortofmind-boggling.

TheMacBookPro(M1)hasthesame
design,keyboardandTouchBarasthe
Intel-basedmodelstheyreplace– and
they’realsothesameasthepartsfound

on the current,

higher-priced

Intel 13in models.

We’re fans of the

keyboard, though

we rarely use the

Touch Bar.

One major

complaintthat

couldbemade

about the

MacBookPro(M1)

isthatit usesa

720pFaceTime

camera.Apple

didimproveits

performancethoughitsimage-signal

processor,butit’sstilla 720pcamerain

a worldwhere1080pcamerasshouldbe

thenorm.

The MacBookPro (M1) fills out the

lower-endofApple’s13inMacBookPro

line-up,andthesemodelshaveonlytwo

Thunderbolt/USB4 ports,bothonthe

leftside.If you’dratherhavemoreports

thanresorttousinga hub,youneedto

investin a £1,799or£1,999Intelmodel,

whichhavefourports,twooneachside.

Oryoucanwaitandseeif Appleupdates

thesepriciermodelswithApplesiliconat

a later date.

want more ports, you have to buy an Intel-based model.
