720p – disappointingly
common still – and
quality is decidedly
average. It’ll do the
job, but it won’t make
you look your best. The
webcam works with
Windows Hello to unlock
the laptop – which
is convenient since
there’s no fingerprint
scanner,sothat’syour

DISPLAY
TheZenBookFlipS is a compactlaptop
witha compactdisplay– in thiscasea

adoptinga taller16:10or3:2aspect
ratio, which I find more useful,but it’s
nota huge complaint.
There’s a slim bezel aroundthe
edges of the display, thoughit’sthicker
on the top and bottom, anddefinitely
not the thinnest about. Thismakes
sense for a convertible, though– you
need something to grabontoin tablet
mode, so if you’re keen onanall-screen
experience you might havebetterluck
sticking to standard clamshelldesigns.
Asus lists two screen specsonitssite,
but so far I can only find thepremium
4K OLED version on saleanywhere
- andthat’swhatI’vereviewed.The
cheaperoption,if you can find it, is a
FullHDIPSpanel– eitherway,it’salso
a touchscreen.Although4Kis arguably

the 100 percentDCI-P3 that Asus is
touting, but it’s pretty close.
PERFORMANCE
As with the display, Asus touts a couple
of different spec options, but only one
set-up appears to be on sale in the UK.
The ZenBook Flip S comes with a 13.3in, 16:9 panel.
