DREW’S VERDICT
Ronnie had a positive
attitude and was willing
to try new things throughout the
day. His compositional skills and
shooting technique were rock solid
and he unquestionably has an eye for a great shot- he often suggested shooting higher up or lower
to the ground to change the perspective. I think he’s
outgrown some of his equipment, so I hope that he
continues to reinvest in himself as he has the
potential to take some amazing photos.
RONNIE COMMENT
There was really
only one location at
Caerphilly where I could take a
picture of the castle and have
the sunset in the same frame.
I’d eyed up this location earlier in the day – it was
one of the walkways that takes you into the inner
castle grounds. I took this picture just after the
sun dipped below the horizon which created a
wonderful colour palette in the sky. Throughout
the day I realized my filters have been holding me
back, so I’m going to invest in a good set filters
like the Lee set Drew kindly let me use – just don’t
tell my wife about my next purchase!
