HDR Merge software
With your three bracketed Raw images, make any initial edits without changing the
Exposure values. Then with your JPEGs you can use software like Photoshop’s Merge to
HDR Pro or similar to create an HDR image. However the results can often look unreal,
so take it easy with settings and sliders and try to get a balanced result.With your three images open, you can use the
sliders in Merge to HDR Pro to reveal more detailMerge to HDR Pro will then blend them
seamlessly into one HDR JPEGBETTERTONALRANGE
irst you should bracket your
exposures to capture three
images with a mixture of
shadow and highlight tones.
For this we’ve used a tripod, plus
Live View to aid composition, and
Auto Exposure Bracketing (use
AEB in your camera’s menu).
We generally set ours to +2-stops
and -2-stops to get a good range.
For these scenic shots, use a
wide-angle lens and an aperture of
around f/11, or f/16, for good depth
of field so your whole scene is sharp
from your feet to the far distance.
You can use Av or Manual mode,
