Crystal Palace Bamboo Crochet Hooks

I am in love and have found a new favorite crochet hook! Bryan Tyler
Nelson states on his website that he loves to discover the hidden
treasure Mother Nature hides within trees, and it is apparent he is
extremely talented at unearthing such treasures! Bryan hand-turns
beautiful exotic wood to make luxurious hooks that are not only
beautiful to look at, but are a dream to crochet with! Smooth and
comfortable in the hand, these ergonomic hooks mean long sessions of
stitching will leave your hands free of cramping and fatigue. You may
find yourself crocheting longer just so you can continue enjoying these
extraordinary hooks! Available in over 160 different wood species, most
Nelsonwood hooks come in sizes ranging from D/3/3.25 to S/19mm.

Day by Day Clay and Crochet
Jennifer Ellingwood, owner of Day by Day Clay and Crochet, began making
her beautiful polymer clay creations while her husband was in the Navy and
she found herself spending the summer in San Diego with not much to do. A
visit to the local craft store for stitch markers resulted in purchasing some
polymer clay to create her own! After selling her popular stitch markers and
buttons, her customers began asking for crochet hooks. The hooks are created
by wrapping millefiori canes designed by Jennifer around commercially
available metal hooks. The finish is smooth and feels silky in your hand. Not
only are Jennifer’s crochet hooks beautiful to look at, but the hand-crafted
handle makes the hook easier to hold and is warm to the touch.

Susan Bates Silvalume Soft Ergonomic Crochet Hooks
Time to come clean! I am in the Susan Bates camp when it comes
to my everyday crochet hook. If you love the inline design and finger grip of
the traditional Susan Bates hook, you’ll find those same features along with a
soft ergonomic handle for reduced wrist strain! The soft handle is easy to hold,
and the hook shape makes for fast stitching. Hook sizes include F/5/3.75mm–
K/101/2/6.5mm, and they are reasonably priced.

Crystal Palace Bamboo Crochet Hooks are available at your yarn store or online
in sizes D/3/3.25mm–L/11/8mm.

Hooks can be ordered by contacting Jennifer through her Facebook page, Day by Day Clay and Crochet.

In this issue of Crochet World we honor the humble crochet
hook, without which our craft would be difficult to ply! (Pun
intended.) Here are some of my all-time faves!
