PATTERN NOTES
When working decreases on
fronts and back, keep the
first stitch as a single crochet.
Decrease in pattern, working
2 double crochets instead of
3 double crochets for the first
decrease, 1 double crochet
instead of 2 double crochets for
the 2nd decrease, and so on.
When working decreases for
the sleeve cap, do not chain-1
at start of each row—just turn.
This makes for a smoother edge.
When working increases on
sleeve, always keep the first
stitch and last stitch as a single
crochet. Increase in pattern,
adding the new stitch in the 2nd
and 2nd to last stitch.

When working even in pattern
where there is a partial repeat,
work a single crochet in each
single crochet, 2 double crochets
in a 2-double crochet group and
1 double crochet in a single dou-
ble crochet.
Join with slip stitch unless oth-
erwise stated.
