NOTE: The slit will be protected
inside the pocket and does not need
to be covered. If you want to cover
it, however, fuse a scrap of fabric
over it.
- Fold the short end of the
fabric—the end with the slit—
creating a 3" pocket. Secure it
with pins. Starting in the center
of the needle case, topstitch
around the entire outside edge,
catching the fold as you go and
securing the pocket in place.
(fi gure 3) - Cut the felt to size using a rotary
cutter with a plain or pinking
blade. Sew the felt next to the
pocket. (fi gure 4) - Create a button loop by
crocheting a chain long enough
to hook around the button.
Attach it to the center of the
short end opposite the pocket.
Fold the needle case and
determine the placement of the
button. Stitch it in place.
