- These papers make a great
substrate for transferring
photographs or images. To do
this, select and size an image
for transfer. Using photo
editing software, be sure to fl ip
the image if directionality is
important. This is key for any
images that include letters. Note
that anything that appears white
or clear in the image will be
transparent, allowing the colors
on the paper towel to show
through.
- Print the image onto the iron-on
transfer paper product following
the manufacturer’s instructions.
Cut out the printed image.
- Transfer the image to the
paper towel, following the
manufacturer’s instructions. Use
a hot iron setting for transfer
papers.
TIP: After the transfer is complete,
remember not to iron directly over the
image or you will melt the polymer and
make a mess—of both the image and
the iron.
- Cover a work surface with
plastic sheeting. Place the paper
towel on the work surface and
lightly cover the entire thing
with a thin layer of fl uid acrylic
medium. Use a foam brush
and work from the center of
the paper towel to the edges.
