“Consumer behavior has a decisive influence on textile production all over the world. To satisfy the taste of consumers, the fashion
industry often outsources to places like Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Cambodia with little regard for the health and lives of the workers.
This piece is a message of sustainability and a call to significantly improve the working and living conditions of textile workers through
changed consumer behavior. It was created using walkloden from one of my mother’s dresses, worn jeans, and handmade paper made
from jeans.”
