“I have always admired Georgia O’Keeff e who is known as a pioneer
of American modernism. Her ability to see abstraction in nature is
refl ected in many of her works. In her fl ower paintings, she saw the
small, but painted them big, which is where I took my inspiration.
Th is quilt is from a photo I took of morning dew drops on the
ruffl ed petals of a yellow day lily and emulates the abstraction
found in her art.”
