PREY
The picture of Morgan
Yu on this month’s
How To reminded me
to finally give this System Shock
successor a proper crack, and it
‘clicked’ over a Typhon-infested
weekend. I don’t think it’s amazing,
but the setting is worth staying for.

THE WALKING DEAD:
THE FINAL SEASON
This final entry is,
tragically, some of
Telltale’s best work ever. I’m oddly
nervous to play the last episode –
not just because of the change of
developer, but because part of me
can’t bear to bid farewell to Clem.

THE CHEF SHOW
FOR FANS OF Ugly Delicious
Jon Favreau is a serious foodie, and in his
first show for Netflix, the extremely
delightful Chef Show, Favreau and chef Roy
Choi explore their joint affinity with food,
looking at the memories associated with a
good meal and having fun in the kitchen.

INCIDENT IN
A GHOSTLAND
FOR FANS OF Martyrs, Raw
Martyrs left a sour taste with its brutal
violence against women, yet it struck a
chord with a hardcore audience. This
follow-up revels in similar terror, but it’s
elevated by a wispy haunted house quality.

KILLING EVE S2
FOR FANS OF James Bond, Brian De Palma
We’ve had to wait patiently for the US to
watch Killing Eve before us, but now the
second season has arrived and is waiting to
be devoured. As the lethal game of cat and
mouse heats up between Eve and Villanelle,
which woman will come out on top?

UPGRADE
FOR FANS OF Blade Runner 2049, Her
This thriller went unjustly ignored when it
came out in cinemas. Upgrade follows the
perils of Grey Trace, a mechanic who’s
upgraded with a chip after he’s left
paralysed. That all sounds great... except
the chip starts whispering about violence.

BIG LITTLE LIES S2
FOR FANS OF Big Little Lies S2
Big Little Lies was an addictive glimpse into
the lives of three women struggling with
abuse, infidelity and middle age. Season
two promises to be more compelling, with
director Andrea Arnold at the helm and the
friends attempting to cover up a murder.

THE PERFECTION
FOR FANS OF The Handmaiden, Love Crime
This gutsy horror splices an erotic thriller
with body horror. When two cellist prodigies
meet at a concert in South Korea, jealousy
and seduction spark. But there’s a strange
virus is going around Seoul and one of the
girls starts to feel sick.

WHAT/IF
FOR FANS OF Damages, Velvet Buzzsaw
In this campy neo-noir, Renee Zellweger
plays an investor who uses the people
around her for her own entertainment.
Taking cues from the dark side of LA, each
episode looks at people’s dark desire for
fame and success.

KING OF THIEVES
FOR FANS OF Ocean’s 11, Widows
Michael Caine is one of the elderly retired
gangsters who plans a jewel heist. King Of
Thieves sometimes feels like an excuse to
get veteran British actors like Caine and
Ray Winstone together on-screen, but
there’s plenty of mischief and heartache.

POSE
FOR FANS OF Rent, Assassination Of
Gianni Versace
The creator of American Crime Story takes
us into ’80s New York and introduces us to
the characters that inhabit its streets and
clubs. Pose shows us the delightful misfits
that we rarely get to see on-screen.

THE WIFE
FOR FANS OF Big Eyes
Glenn Close gives the performance of a
lifetime as the wife of a beloved author
who’s just won the Nobel Prize for
literature. A beautifully restrained
performance,each of Close’s facial
expressions are a work of art.

BLACK MIRROR S5
FOR FANS OF The Twilight Zone
This feverish dystopia gets a fifth outing
this June, but how can three episodes ever
satisfy us? Luckily these are some of the
best Black Mirror stories Charlie Brooker has
ever penned, adding Anthony Mackie and
Miley Cyrus to the line-up of new stars.

MISSION:
IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT
FOR FANS OF John Wick, James Bond
Buckle up for another crazy instalment of
Mission: Impossible. While we’ve always
had a soft spot for the series, this is an
especially barmy sugar rush of guns, fast
cars and wind-whipped hair.

ELDER SCROLLS
ONLINE: ELSWEYR
A new chapter for the
MMORPG has just
landed, and it’s just the excuse I
need to jump back into Tamriel. I’m
having a blast in the Khajiit
homelands, thanks to all the talking
cats, dragons and other new stuff.
