LEGO’s latest videogame excursion allows

you to play through the stories of all nine

mainline Star Wars films – yes, including

the one that isn’t even out yet. It’s been

built afresh from the ground up, so don’t

expect any reused sequences from

previous Lego Star Wars games, and it’s

got a full new voice cast. You can even

play the episodes in whatever order you

want, allowing you to jump straight to your

favourite parts of the series. Or, err, just

skip the prequels.

Scoff if you must, but Microsoft’s latest

entry in the venerable aircraft simulator

series has maybe the most breathtakingly

realistic graphics of any upcoming game.

As you soar through the skies the cities,

oceans and landmarks below you are

rendered in such exquisite detail that

you’d easily mistake the footage for

real-life video if you didn’t know better.

And there’s a reason for that – it’s been

created with the help of actual satellite

imagery of the Earth.

From the team that brought you Assassin’s

Creed Odyssey comes a more fantastical

take on Ancient Greece. Mythological

monsters – including Gorgons, Hydras,

Harpies and Cyclopses – have taken

over the Isle Of The Blessed, under the

command of the deadly Typhon. As a

‘forgotten hero’, you’ll explore the verdant

island solving puzzles, delving through

dungeons and fighting to save the gods

themselves. A wonderfully lush art style

makes this an enticing adventure.
