distinguished name (DN) A name that describes a

Docker daemon The component of the Docker

A protocol that translates domain names into IP
addresses, which computers can understand.


Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) A
protocol used to dynamically configure hosts with
network connectivity information. DHCP also assigns IP
addresses to devices that connect to a network.

that is typically used when you need local computing
decision-making capabilities closer to where sensors are
deployed. Edge computing reduces latency and can
significantly reduce the amount of data that needs to be
processed and transmitted.


endpoint group (EPG) A collection of endpoints that
have common policy requirements.


Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol
(EIGRP) A routing protocol used in computer networks
to automate routing decisions.
