Adjusting OS for the New Hardware
Windows family operating systems are notorious for their excessive sensibility to hardware, especially when it turns
to replacement of such a crucial device as HDD controller or motherboard that will most likely lead to a boot
failure. In Windows 8.1 this problem has become less acute and almost disappeared in Windows 10. However, many
people are still using Windows 7 and earlier versions, where built-in driver repositories are relatively modest.
Additionally, these operating systems require adjustment of the Windows kernel settings according to the new
configuration.
