When people ask me what The Simple Things is about, I always give
the same answer: ‘We like to think of it as a handbook for
happiness.’ Yes, there are reads and recipes, projects and wisdom,
ideas and inspiration, places and people. But the thread that
stitches it together is celebrating the things that matter most.
So, as you spend some time with this issue, I hope you feel that
thread tugging you to connect with the people around you, to be
active and get outdoors, to take notice and be curious, to keep
learning, to give and be kind. Our purpose is straightforward: to
remind you how good life can be when you remember these simple
things. No matter where you live or how busy you are, there are
always opportunities to slow down and enjoy a moment. Keep your
magazine close at hand to dip in to when you’ve had a bad day.
I guarantee you’llfeel happier for it.
