“Yellow”.
well firstly i think yellow is a very happy and brightcolour. for tons of
people it symbolizes positivity and brings a goodmessage. it can
sometimes be a very pretty colour to use especiallyas an artist it can
make your piece stand out quite a bit. but this isn’talways the case
because as we all know stereotypically asians have“yellow” skin. now i
do have darker skin but i can definitely see wherethis comes form as
my skin is slightly yellow. however, i think this is a really unfair thing to
say. not only can this be used in a racist mannerbut it also is not an
inclusive stereotype whatsoever. there’s many asiansthat are dark
skinned, tan, or extremely pale. we all have differentskin tones and it’s
not okay to just assume all asians have yellow skin.i think this
definitely comes from the stereotype of asia beingjust east asian which
can already be offensive enough. whether you haveyellow skin or not
though it’s important to not be ashamed of it or disheartenedby your
skin tone. your skin is part of your identity andthat’s something you
should be proud of. it’s hard especially when it’sso normalized to be
picked on for it but theres people out there who canrelate too and we
should be proud of how we look. because whether you’reyellow or not
you’re still pretty and beautiful and your skin isgorgeous.
