Our culture is something that took hundreds of years to be proud of in
north America and Europe. Asian people have a long history of being
bullied, and many are still being bullied just forbeing asian.
Calling yourself asian just to be more "exotic" issomething I find
disgusting. And it proves the lack of respect somepeople have.
My culture and heritage is not your costume.
I think that what being is together tis our cultureand heritage. All
asian countries have some tie to china, and are thereforelinked in a
way. Many asian countries and cultures share somesort of similarities,
and it help tie us together as a group.
Overall, being asian is mostly what you think. Ifyou consider yourself
asian, then you are. But if your doing it just forfun, and don't truly
consider it a part of your identity, you are not asian.
