Iliopsoas

The Iliopsoas is actually composed of two muscle groups. The Psoas component (also
known as the Psoas muscle) arises from the sides of the lower thoracic and lumbar
vertebrae, travels on the inner side of the hip bone and attaches to the upper part of the
thigh bone.

The Iliac portion arises from the inner side of the hip bone and connects with the Psoas
muscle below to have a common insertion point at the upper part of the thigh bone.
