Affiliate Marketing – What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate Marketing can be referred to as the act of promoting products that are not
yours and redeeming a particular percentage of the sales of that product. Affiliate
Marketing can be carried in so many ways.
One thing most companies do when they offer you the chances of joining their
Affiliate programs is to make sure every affiliate under them are working. Any
company that tells you to pay before joining their affiliate program is to be
avoided. Because, joining and Affiliate Program is free and many offer to even
teach you how to market their product for FREE too. Besides why will you pay to
join a program that you will still need to work hard to market its products to make
your money back? It just doesn’t make any sense.
Let me explain how affiliate marketing works; let’s say for example, you own a
shop that sells Computers or Software’s, and I tell someone about it and actually
convince the person why he/she should buy from you, then eventually the person
comes to you and tells you I sent him/her to you and told them about your
products. Then the person ended up buying a product, you now send me a check
paying me a percentage of the initial sales price. This is all there is to affiliate
marketing nothing more and nothing less. It is not much different from being a
100% commissioned salesperson for a company, the only difference is that online
you can do this for so many companies at the same time.
