Investiture at the Mission Inn a Success


On May 5 th, 2007, the Los Angeles
Commandry of the Order of St.
Stanislas hosted an investiture at
the historic Mission Inn in
Riverside, California.
Ten new chevaliers and a dame
were knighted. Chevalier Andrew
Ettinger, CStS, had previously
been knighted in absentia and
participated in the dubbing
ceremony.

In addition to the knighting of ten
new members, six students from
the Murrieta Valley High School
Young Knights club were
accepted into the Order as squires.

The dubbing ceremony was
officiated by Chevalier Dr. Don
Hunsaker II, GCCStS. Grand
Master Count Juliusz Nowina-
Sokolnicki was unable to attend

for health reasons.

Also participating in the
ceremony were Chevalier
Michael Michaelski, GCCStS,
Dame Barbara Hunsaker,
GCCStS, Chevalier Bradley
Harmer, GCStS, Chevalier
Dr. Mark D. Diamond, CStS,
Commander of the Los Angeles
Commandry, Dame Laura Lee
Diamond, OCStS, Dame Tina
Carey, DCStS, Shawn McEwan,
OCStS, and Pastor Brian Kent.

The dubbing ceremony was held
in the chapel of the Mission Inn
and was followed by dinner.
Approximately ninety knights,
dames, squires, and guests
attended the investiture. This
was the first southern California
investiture in five years.

On six high school students
from Murrieta Valley High School
in Murrieta California were
formally made squires in the
Order of St. Stanislas. All the
students participate in the
Young Knights club. The club is
sponsored by the Order.

The club is focused on promoting
the code of chivalry and doing
charitable works.

The six students brought into the
Order are Jacob Pixler, Cindy
Herrera, Robbie Barrozo, Nathan
Beals, Janessa

Greenleaf and Paul Vollmer.

The president of the Young
Knights, Matthew Diamond, had
previously been made a squire at
the December 2005 investiture in
Mechelen, Belgium.

will be conducted in the historic
Sanctuaries. All Order members
are invited to attend.

The ceremony and investiture
will be held on September 15 th,
and 16th, 2007. The ceremony

the site of the next scheduled
Order of St. Stanislas investiture.
