2006 Canadian InvestitureThe Grand Prior of Canada, Chevalier Denis Hoban,
hosted an Investiture on August 26th, 2006, in
Toronto, already the second in this year, that included
many postulants and advancements from the United
States as well as royalty from Sweden. Chevalier Dr.
Andrew Schoenfeld from Ohio was invested as a
Knight companion, class V; Dame Tonia Rach
(Cincinnati) was promoted to Class I, the Grand Cross.
Several other American companions were in
attendance.,2016 Canada. Mississauga, 22nd October.The Investiture (it was the 191st in the history of the
Order) in Canada was conducted by three Polish
Chevaliers – the Grand Prior of the Order of St.
Stanislas in Poland, Chev. Marek Kramarski, the Grand
Prior of the Order of St. Stanislas in Canada, Chev.
Maciej Kaliski and Chev. Łukasz Kramarski, acting as
Sword Bearer. The Solemn ceremony consisted in
presenting the history of the Order and declaiming the
decree granting admission to six Postulants, as well as
awarding a medal of merit for a seventh member.The distinctions were awarded to (in order of
acceptance): Dames/Chevaliers Malgorzata P.
Bonikowska, Bogusława Gołębiowska, Robert
Kostrubiec, Jan Cytowski, Lucia Stec and Lawyer Anna
Godek, and the medal of merit was awarded to the
Military Attaché of the Polish Embassy in Ottawa, Col.
Cezary Kiszkowiak. At the same time, the re-
establishment of the Priory in Canada was announced,
headed by Dame Anna Gondek.Looking back to the history of the Priory of Canada, we
find in the year 1994 the Grand Prior of Canada,
Captain Jack Boddington. Later, the Grand Prior of
Canada was Major Mayles Penny, G.C.St.S., Major
Chevalier Harris Franklyn Wright, GCStS, Chancellor of
Canada, Prior of Canada was Chev. Bruce Hicks, CSStS,
and Deputy Prior Myles Penny, GCStS. Shortly before
the death of the Grand Master in 2009, the Grand
Priory of Canada was reorganized and Chev. Denis
Hoban, G.C.C.St.S. was nominated as Grand Prior of
Canada, Deputy Grand Prior became Chev. Noel
Gondek, C.St.S., Chancellor Chev. William Ford, C.St.S.,
Commander of the Commandery of Ontario Chev
Richard Hildreth, C.St.S. The Grand Priory of Canada
was officially registered on 19th October 2009 in
