New postulants Mrs Claire Stewart, QSM and Mr Keith
Mann, on the 25th May 2007 Investiture Palmerstone
North, New Zealand

Noeleen, Count George Helon-Zielinski de Doliwa and
David at afternoon Tea. Palmerstone North. 2007

The evening of the 25th May was a most pleasant of
evenings, as cocktail evenings go. 40 members and
partners (including our postulants) turned up to the
wonderful surroundings of the Rydges Coachmen
Hotel in Palmerston North. We had members from the
Order of St. Stanislas, The Royal Confraternity of Sao
Teotonio, St. Mary of Zion, and Order of St. Lazarus of
Jerusalem, along with our wonderful guests from USA
and Australia. Much socialising was done, and all had
a wonderful evening.

The following morning dawned a beautiful day, ready
for a full day of Investitures and Formal Dinners.
Everyone assembled again at the Rydges Coachmen
for a briefing of the day’s activities, then whilst the
Marshal and a few helpers left early to prepare the
Cathedral of the Holy Spirit for the investitures.

The first service of the day was the admittance
ceremony held just after midday, for the Royal
Confraternity of Sao Teotonio (RCST). The Priest for
giving blessings was Father Thomas Sherry (yes Philip
Sherry’s cousin). Our postulants were Count Paul
Gulgowski-Doliwa and his wife Countess Heide
Gulgowski-Doliwa from America, (Paul created a
Justice Knight Grand Cross and Heide a Justice Dame
Commander), Countess Isabella Helon-Zielinski de
Doliwa and her husband Michael Moore from
Australia (yes Isabella is George’s sister, Isabella
created a Justice Dame and Michael a Knight), Mrs
Rose Couling (yes Kevin’s Mother, created a Dame)
and Countess Marilyn Subritzky-Kusza (yes Mike’s
wife, created a Justice Dame). This Confraternity is the
personal property of the Royal House of Braganza,
Royal House of Portugal, with the Royal Protector
being HRH Dom Miguel Braganza, Duke of Visue, he is
the bother of Dom Duarte, Duke of Braganza.

The General Prior for Asia Pacific, Baron Anthony
Raman-Naikan presided over the service of
admittance for the new members, with the help from
the NZ Prior and Marshal Kevin D. Couling Esq. and
Count George Helon-Zielinski de Doliwa, along with
Page Baron Miguel Raman-Naikan and Page Count
Isaac Subritzky-Kusza, who were both invested as
Pages before any of the new members admitted.
Pages are important to the RRCST as they have a role
to play in the ceremony and become our future
Knights as they grow and learn within the RCST
chivalric community. It was particularly nice that
fellow Chivalric brothers and sisters from the Orders
of St. Stanislas, St Lazarus and St. Mary of Zion also
attended this ceremony of admittance.
