After the decline of communism, the Order of St.
Stanislas acted and in the first five critical years of
Poland's new freedom, the Order of St. Stanislas
promised financial and material aid. Special funds
were made available to parishes in Poland to alleviate
the hardship. Weekly deliveries of former US Army
supply in the form of medical goods were distributed
to various hospitals and rural polyclinics. The order has
regularly sent medical goods such as wheelchairs, and
bandages to all poorer parts of Eastern Europe. Many
people ask: “What is the Order of St. Stanislas, what
does it do?” The Order is a well-organized community
of men and women, many with Polish connections
that help in various ways to support disadvantaged
people.


1979 - 1990 Poland was supported by the St. Stanislas
Order through various organizations.
From 1990 to 1993, donations of money and medical
aid were sent to Poland, but not to government
agencies, but to parishes, which then distributed them
to the needy. In 1993 the order sent goods, cash, and
gifts to those in need.
In 1994 , 35 military ambulances and many medical
facilities were delivered to Poland with the support of
the Order of St. Stanislas. The Canadian Order
department set up a “clothes for children” project and
sent containers full of clothes from Canada to Poland.
In 1995 , donations totaling (converted) € 16,628 were
collected for Eastern Europe.
In 1996 operation “Wheelchair” was founded and a
variety of orthopedic supplies were delivered to
Gdansk. The medical polyclinic and the medical
university in Warsaw were also helped.
In 1997 , money and donations came for the victims of
floods in Poland as well (converted) € 37,500 as in aid
material for an emergency hospital. The English Order
donated € 948 and for the agriculture purposes in
Poland and Ukraine animals were bought for the farm
for over € 9,900.
1999 and 2000 Support was given to some Ukrainian
Hospitals with equipment and medical supplies in the
Chernobyl catastrophe.
In 2001, the Priories of the Order of St. Stanislas
donated pain-relieving medication to the Oncological
Hospital in Kronstadt in Romania.
In 2002 , the German Order donated money to flood
victims in East Germany and medication to the
women's clinic in Kiev and Romania.
In 2003, an orphanage in Romania was equipped with
all kinds of baby food and children's items.

Charitable works of the Order of St. Stanislas



  1. On the solemn investiture at that time at Schloss
    Wackerbarth, donations in the form of historical
    objects were auctioned.

  2. We provide short-term care for children in crisis
    situations. The project "Family-type children’s home"
    is aimed to improve the quality of care for teenagers
    younger than 18 years.

  3. The Order of St. Stanislas in Germany supports
    in the context of poverty of the children and
    handicapped youth, implements projects with other
    organizations and transmission of clothes and other
    material donations. This year was significant because
    they at least implemented program “HELP AFRICA”.

  • a non-profit organization acting combined with the
    Order of St. Stanislas committed sustainable
    development in impoverished areas of Africa.
    Together with local partners, we build and maintain a
    school in Abidjan, in rural areas where education is
    particularly poor and supported a youth program and
    established an Academy of Sport. We helped create a
    Football Club with the name “GALAXY ABIDJAN” for
    the talented youth. We supervised this project,
    support and control this school, deliver the school
    supplies, and feed school children.



  1. For children and adolescents from poor families
    in Warsaw School No. 40, there was a wide range of
    varied and nutritious meals for the whole year.

  2. The Master of the Order of St. Stanislas once
    again supported poor families with their holiday
    arrangements, often another problem of financially
    weak families, with the "Give children a vacation"
    campaign. Last year, 95 children and young people
    were able to take part in the campaigns. These were
    funded with a total of 15,000 euros.
