Held in Amsterdam in conjunction with the Frame Awards,
FRAME LAB 2019 brought together spatial design’s most
exciting practitioners and thinkers over the course of two
days. With talks, workshops and installations organized
around FOUR CONTENT TRACKS, the event challenged
visitors to confront some of the most pressing questions
facing the spatial-design industry. What is the potential
for integrating DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY directly into the
built environment? Can we design spaces that are both
environmentally and SOCIALLY SUSTAINABLE? How
can we offer increasingly PERSONALIZED EXPERIENCES
without losing sight of communal goals? And is it possible
to create spaces that foster REAL COLLABORATION at
work, on the road and at home? Presented in collaboration
with IBA, the German Interior Business Association,
Frame Lab used these themes to explore innovation in
retail, hospitality, shows, institutions, work and residences.
