WORKING
CULTURE
On the occasion of its
50
th
anniversary, UNIFOR
reiterates its position as more
than just an office brand.
During this year’s Milan Design Week,
UniFor presented a book celebrating the
company’s 50th anniversary. The publication
covers the construction of UniFor’s factory,
its collaboration with important designers
and the development of its showrooms. Pre-
sented within a Ron Gilad-designed installa-
tion at Palazzo di Brera from 8 through
14 April, A Commitment of Architecture also
details the Italian brand’s longtime ‘technical
sponsorship’ of cultural exhibitions – eve-
rything from an architecture retrospective
to a multimedia art show. During these
collaborations, UniFor – a sister company of
Molteni&C that designs and manufactures
solutions for contemporary offices – works
with the exhibition designer to find an opti-
mal means of presenting the adaptation of
an existing product or unveiling something
entirely new. UniFor ensures that the proper
technology and materials are used. These
intellectually ingenious exercises – which
sometimes inform the design of subsequent
UniFor products – are both creatively and
commercially fruitful.
