Keeping up-to-date with bug fixes and security updates is critical to the
success and health of an Ubuntu system. You can simply install updates
when you read your Ubuntu-provided notifications in your system (see
Chapter 9, “Managing Software”). To keep abreast of the most important
developments when using Ubuntu, you can register with the Ubuntu
Announcements mailing list. From there, you will learn which updates
have been issued and what has been fixed as a result. Go to

register for this mailing list. To keep up with bug fixes, new software
packages, and security updates, also keep an eye out for Update Manager
