Adobe Illustrator CC Classroom in a Book (2019 Release), First Edition

Select the Selection tool ( ) in the Tools panel. Click the original (top) triangle.

Select the Eraser tool ( ) in the Tools panel. Pressing the Shift key, drag from left to right,
across the middle of the triangle. Release the mouse button and then the key.

Select the Selection tool ( ), and click in a blank area to deselect the artwork.

Click the smaller triangle on top, and press Delete or Backspace to remove it.

Click to select the remaining part of the top triangle, and click the Fill color box in the
Properties panel. Make sure that the Swatches option ( ) is selected in the panel that appears,
and select a lighter gray color with a tool tip of “C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=5.”
