Drag across both acorn shapes to select them.
Click the Fill color in the Properties panel on the right, and choose the None swatch ( ) to
remove the white fill color.
You’ll see that the top shape of the acorn overlaps the bottom shape of the acorn. You can use
the Shape Builder tool to fix that.- Select the Shape Builder tool ( ) in the Tools panel on the left. Move the pointer where you
see the red X in the following figure. Drag across the top shapes to combine them. Make sure
not to drag into the bottom shape.
