On macOS, you may need to click the Options button in the Place dialog box to reveal
the Link option.The pointer should now show the loaded graphics cursor. You can see “1/1” next to the
pointer, indicating how many images are being placed (1 of 1), and a thumbnail so you can see
what image you are placing.- Move the loaded graphics cursor near the upper-left corner of the artboard, and click to place
the image. Leave the image selected.
