lINDICATIONS AND DOSE
Superficial bacterial eye infection
▶TO THE EYE USING EYE DROP
▶Child:Apply 4 times a day for maximum duration of
treatment 21 days
▶TO THE EYE USING EYE OINTMENT
▶Child 1–17 years:Apply 1. 25 centimetres 3 times a day
for 2 days, then apply 1. 25 centimetres twice daily for
5 days
Superficial bacterial eye infection (severe infection)
▶TO THE EYE USING EYE DROP
▶Child:Apply every 2 hours during waking hours for
2 days, then apply 4 times a day for maximum duration
of treatment 21 days

Corneal ulcer
▶TO THE EYE USING EYE DROP
▶Child:Apply every 15 minutes for 6 hours, then apply
every 30 minutes for the remainder of day 1 , then apply
every 1 hour on day 2 , then apply every 4 hours on days
3 – 14 , maximum duration of treatment 21 days, to be
administered throughout the day and night
▶TO THE EYE USING EYE OINTMENT
▶Child 1–17 years:Apply 1. 25 centimetres every
1 – 2 hours for 2 days, then apply 1. 25 centimetres every
4 hours for the next 12 days, to be administered
throughout the day and night
