Perfectly natural:
Here’s how to make the
most of the gorgeous
hair you have, say our
experts, who revealed
their own big-day plans.

Think Timeless.
Find a wedding hairstyle that’s
effortless and easy—“nothing too
crazy”—says Riawna Capri,
who is co-owner of the Nine Zero
One salon in Los Angeles and
engaged to the other co-owner,
Nikki Lee. “You don’t want to
shellac your hair with hair spray
so it’s stiff. You want it to be soft
and have movement.” Her tip:
Share photos of what you like
with your stylist. ”That way there’s
no room for disappointment.”
Go big for volume.
Mary Bennett is a Houston-
based hair guru who got married
in 2018. For her ceremony, she
added length and volume to
her coily bob with extensions
she hand-curled herself. “It was
super time-consuming,” says
Bennett, who is an ambassador
for hair extension brand @her
givenhair. Her tip for DIY’ers: Test
the look you want a few times
so you have it down—and also
so you know exactly what styling
tools to bring.
Consult the climate.
Hair influencer India Batson
got engaged in March, and
while she hasn’t nailed down
her wedding day ‘do, her wavy,
curly hair will be in its natural
state. “I’m thinking half-up, half-
down, as all down might feel
too hot,” says the Atlanta-based
bride-to-be, who is planning
a summer nuptial. Her tip for
beautiful bridal hair: A day-before
hair mask ensures strands are
well hydrated.
