a detailed manual that you can download. You can also find additional Solver products for Excel that
can handle much more complex problems.
Allocating resources
The example in this section is a common type of problem that’s ideal for Solver. Essentially,
problems of this sort involve optimizing the volumes of individual production units that
use varying amounts of fixed resources. Figure 32.14 shows a simplified example for a toy
company.
