At the bottom of the Merge dialog box, Power Query shows you how many records from the lower query match the top

query based on the unique identifiers that you selected. In this case, about 17,600 answer records match the 26,910

question records.

Keep in mind there doesn’t have to be a 100 percent match for the merge to be valid. There could well be a good

reason why the records in the two queries don’t all match up. In this case, not every question was answered in all

interviews; therefore, the Answers query has fewer records.

8. With the newly merged query open in the Power Query Editor, all that is left
   to do is to click the Expand icon in the newly added field and choose the fields
   you want to be included in the final output (demonstrated in Figure 40.15). In
   this case, all you need is the Answer file ID.
