situation, he didn’t let her find out about his
children on her own. It’s always worse when you
find out about a lie yourself, instead of the other
person fessing up. It doesn’t make it better
necessarily if someone tells you after feelings are
involved, it’s never the same as knowing in advance,
but it’s always worse when you find out on your
own by accident.
In this situation, he ends up eventually coming
clean on his own. Of course, she’s hurt.
Unfortunately, all it takes is one lie to ruin an
otherwise perfectly good relationship. All it takes is
one lie to plant a seed of doubt in your partner. In
this case, it did hurt her, and it did have a negative
impact on their relationship, but eventually they
were able to move past it and work it out.
That story was an example to show you how a
man will lie out of his own insecurity. His lie was
out of the fear that she wouldn’t accept him if he
told her the full truth. It in no way justifies the
situation. If he eventually comes clean then you then
must choose whether to continue to roll with him,
giving him the benefit of the doubt or not. At least
