Foreign Exchange (FOREX) candlestick action differs slightly from candlestick
action based on equity action. Due to the high level of liquidity, price gapping
is minimal, except over the weekends. As such, candlestick patterns that require
gaps as part of their formation will take on a different look in the FOREX mar-
ket. Some patterns that are affected by this include the evening and morning stars,
kicking, in‐neck and on‐neck patterns, separating lines, and upside and downside
Tasuki gaps.
