The Audience


The primary audience for these recommendations are parents and caregivers of children aged from ten
to eighteen years old. Our in-person strategies will focus on the KC metro and surrounding
(approximately 100 miles) region. While some recommendations focus on targeting parents directly, some
focus on reaching parents through intermediary channels like host sites or partnerships with other
organizations. Despite our emphasis on local outreach, some of the strategies and tactics have the
potential to reach beyond the Kansas City area through online channels and could prove to be effective
regardless of a participant’s geographic location.
