Area Obituaries
Keith Dale Kooiman, Jr.
MIDDLEVILLE, MI –
Keith Dale Kooiman, Jr.
of Middleville, age 69,
born Aug. 30,1951, son of
Keith and Joanne (Bullen)
Kooiman, Sr., was called
home on May 6, 2021 after a
brave battle with cancer.
He completed the John
Deere certification program
following his graduation
from Thornapple Kellogg
High School in 1970 and was
married to his wife, Deana
(Thornhill) Kooiman for 43
years. He is survived by his
wife, their five children and
families, his parents, five sib-
lings and their families.
Keith spent his life serving
his family by always lending
a helping hand and servicing
the farming community, be-
ing skilled in tractor and farm
equipment repair. He made
friends easily with his quirky
sense of humor and unlim-
ited knowledge of so many
things. He will be missed by
so many who knew him.
A tractor procession will
begin at 10 a.m. from the
Parmalee Methodist Church
routing to the First Baptist
Church of Middleville where
a Celebration of Life and
Luncheon is being held on
Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11
a.m. In lieu of flowers, me-
morial contributions can be
made to the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society at LLS.
org.
Thank You
On the behalf of my family I’d like to give
a special thank you to Jerry Welsh, Rich
Jenkins, Village Manager Patty Ray, and
Patrick Jansen of Barry County United
Way for the beautiful memorial service
for Charlie Pullen.
Thank you to all who attended. Thank
you so much for your support in a very
difficult time.
