HEAVENLY HUMMUS

(^1) / (^2) cup tahini (sesame paste) Juice of one big lemon 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas 2
tablespoons olive oil 1 clove garlic
Sea salt
Cayenne pepper
Pour tahini and lemon juice in a food processor or a high-speed blender and mix until
smooth. Add chickpeas, olive oil, and garlic and blend well. You might have to stop
the blender a few times to stir, making sure it doesn’t stick. Add sea salt and a dash of
cayenne pepper. If you like your hummus even smoother, add a few tablespoons of
water.
I love hummus because it can be served with almost anything! I love to eat my
hummus with vegetables as a dip, but it’s also great with a salad or on a
sandwich. A good food processor will make this recipe easier, but a blender will
work well, too. If you want to take your hummus to the next level, remove the
peel from each chickpea . . . and it will become even smoother!
