Restorative Yoga


Most of us lead busy lives. We rush from one place to another,


taking in different impressions from our surroundings,


constantly ex-posed to new people and situations. When was


the last time you let yourself really relax?


Restorative yoga is a great complement to a vinyasa practice,


as it gives us time and space to be present in the moment, let


go of old tension, and heal our bodies from within. Ļis


chapter is about moving into safe, comfortable poses that you


can stay in for a long time. Make sure that the temperature of


the room you’re in is comfortable (if you’d like, keep a blanket


next to you to use for support or to cover yourself with if you


get chilly), turn your phone off, and allow the breath to ground


you in the here and now.
