Dosages (Kousso) — Too dangerous to take (JAD). Yet in Hager’s Handbuch der Pharmazeutischen
Praxis, one finds for children, 10–15 g powdered drug, with citrus juice or red wine (20–30 g for
adults) (HHB) (not me, please, JAD).
Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects (Kousso) — Not covered (AHP). Very toxic
(PH2). Irritant to mucous membranes, large doses inducing colic, nausea, and vomiting (WOI).
Overdosage may cause abortion, collapse, debility, headache, nausea, salivation, and visual disor-
ders (PH2).
