Ilha Verde settlement. As main results it was possible to verify that there
was a simplification of the phenomenon looking for a greater ease of
assimilation of the audience and the amplification of the reach of the news.
Although there was a predominance of “controversial representations”
generated by the heightening of a social conflict, the origin and purpose
of the media must be considered in understanding the issues.
