Maria das Graças Machado Freire
Sou conhecida como Graça Freire. Fiz bacharelado em
química, mas optei pela química ambiental. Adoro trabalhar com
insetos e fungos, e quando a pesquisa une os dois, fica melhor
ainda. Gosto muito de fazer parcerias que tragam diversidade ao
mundo do ensino e da pesquisa. Sou amante de plantas e de
fotografia. O desafio de tecer este livro, além de enriquecedor,
trouxe enormes alegrias pela oportunidade de trabalho com
tanta gente boa, simples e competente!
People know me by Graça Freire. I have a BA in chemistry,
but I chose the environmental chemistry. I love working with
insects and fungi, and when the research joins them together it is
even better.
I like partnerships that bring diversity to the teaching
and research worlds. I am a lover of plants and photography. The
challenge of weaving this book, besides enriching, brought me a
huge joy for the opportunity to work with so many good, simple
and competent people!

Como todo bom mineiro, é forasteiro destas planícies, e,
depois de estudar fungos em plantas do Cerrado, Mata Atlântica
e Floresta Amazônica, encontrou na Restinga um ambiente
diferente, surpreendente e agradável. Além de um manancial
indescritível para continuar suas pesquisas, encontrou ali três
amigos que embarcaram nessa jornada independente e, com
visões distintas, convergiram seus conhecimentos, achados
e descobertas para serem compartilhados neste livro de
encantamentos.Like every good native of the state of Minas Gerais,
a stranger in these plains, and after studying fungi in Cerrado,
Atlantic Forest and Amazon Forest plants, he found in the
