O Tempo e a Restinga - Time and Restinga

These have always been the foundations of Prumo Logistica at Açu Port. We believe we
have a strategic and changing social role in the areas we actuate. Those are the reasons why
we adopt concepts and practices that add value to people and the environment as well.
The creation of NPPR Caruara Farm, allowing preservation of one of the most
important remaining areas of restinga scrub forest in the Northern part of Rio de Janeiro
State, is one of the actions that give us the most pride. We expanded our efforts by installing
the only forest nursery dedicated to the restinga ecosystem, with production capacity of
500,000 seedlings per year.  Today, it is the largest private restinga reserve in Brazil.
Both actions, besides allowing the forest restoration of NPPR Caruara Farm, also
generate knowledge. This is what we believe: working together to share the discoveries
and the techniques developed in the reserve.
And “The Time and the Restinga” is the first step of this journey.
