The Key Principles of the Perfect 10 Diet
Now that we’ve dispelled some really big dietary myths, you’re ready to begin
the Perfect 10 Diet. The following is a questionnaire I developed to help you get
started. Answer yes or no to the following questions:
• Is your diet properly balanced in terms of the amounts of carbs, protein,
and fat you consume?
• Do you eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day?
• Does your diet supply ample amounts of fat to absorb fat-soluble
vitamins?
• Does your diet include food groups that provide essential fatty acids, such
as seeds, eggs, and fish?
• Do you eat sufficient amounts of high-quality protein to sustain your
physiological functions every day?
• Do you eat green foods every day?
• Do you avoid processed foods?
• Do you eat different colored vegetables every day?
• Do you avoid sugar and refined carbs?
• Are you vigilant about excluding trans fats from your diet?
If you answered yes to all the questions, you are already on the right track. If
you answered no to any question, the Perfect 10 Diet will help get you on the
road to health.
The Perfect 10 Diet Formula
The Perfect 10 Diet is all about nutritional balance—40 percent carbohydrates,
40 percent fat, and 20 percent protein. When you balance your macronutrient
intake this way, you stabilize your blood sugar levels and offer your body the
best sources of energy. While you can certainly lose weight on a low-fat diet by
reducing calories, you pose a risk to your health by raising your insulin levels
and becoming fat deficient. That’s not a good scenario.
For this reason, I want you to eat more natural fats and eliminate bad carbs to
lose weight and achieve perfect 10 hormones and health. Rest assured that you
will not be hungry on the Perfect 10 Diet, as you will be eating real, whole foods
that will provide you with the satiety you can only get from natural fats.
