Putting Natural Fat Back into Your Diet
Learning new ways of eating can be challenging now that supermarket shelves
are filled with low-fat sugary cereals and fatfree foods, and margarine containers
that have hearthealthy logos plastered all over them. However, this is the food
you must eliminate from the Perfect 10 Diet since it is processed, filled with
sugar, and contains deadly trans fats. Eating this junk will wreak havoc on your
metabolic system, and it’ll make you gain weight in no time at all.
Start by shopping for vegetables instead of processed foods. Make it a habit to
shop in healthfood stores, and buy raw nuts and nut butters, such as macadamia
or almond butter, to use instead of jam or jellies made with high-fructose corn
syrup.
Eating nuts regularly can prevent heart disease. Buy avocados instead of
cookies. Remember, you can eat even saturated fats on the Perfect 10 Diet, such
as butter, full-fat raw cheese, and coconut.
Start dressing salads with extra-virgin olive oil instead of low-fat dressings
made with high-fructose corn syrup. Toss nuts into your salads instead of white-
flour croutons. Eat fish and other seafood at least 3 to 4 times a week. Don’t stop
there—treat yourself to a piece of dark chocolate made with real cocoa butter
once in a while.
