- Do Not Buy Foods Made with Refined Polyunsaturated Oils or
Hydrogenated Fats
Products made with refined polyunsaturated oils or hydrogenated and partially
hydrogenated fats are toxic. They will negatively affect your health and lead to
disease. Partially hydrogenated oils translate into trans fats. Trans fats equal
disturbed hormones, clogged arteries, and cancer. To add insult to injury, many
low-fat and fatfree products contain trans fats. Sugar and trans fats are a deadly
combination when you include them in your diet in any amounts. - Do Not Buy Products that Contain Ingredients You Can’t Pronounce
Ever heard of butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA)? How about butylated
hydroxytoluene (BHT)? The rule of thumb on the Perfect 10 Diet is that if you
can’t pronounce the ingredients, leave the item on the shelf. These are most
likely manmade chemicals that have unknown long-term health effects. BHA
and BHT are found in baked goods and increase the risk of cancer. The list also
includes, but is not limited to, brominated vegetable oil, hydrolyzed vegetable
protein, propyl gallate, and potassium bromate. You may be wondering how
you’re going to remember the names of these harmful ingredients. But that’s
exactly my point: you don’t have to remember these names at all. Just avoid
products containing ingredients you can’t pronounce or don’t recognize
regardless of any health claim or medical endorsement on the packaging. - Do Not Buy LowCarb Products with Soy Protein Isolate
Do you like sugar-free foods and lowcarb goodies? These products are the latest
food gimmick being pushed on the public. While many of these foods contain
less sugar, many contain soy protein isolate. I previously discussed that soy
protein contains MSG, a neurotoxin, as well as nitrites. Nitrites cause cancer.
Lowcarb products also contain chemicals, sugar alcohols, and partially
hydrogenated oils. All of these mess up your hormones and are toxic to your
body. - Do Not Buy Food Made with Natural and Artificial Flavors
When a food item contains this message on its label, it means it contains
chemicals. Chemicals are added to give food a near-natural taste and a prolonged
shelf life. No one knows what these chemicals are except the food manufacturers
themselves. If you’re going to eat it, you deserve to know what it is. Avoid any
