medical support to children whose families work
and live near the garbage dump in guatemala
City. Volunteers assist the guatemalan teachers
in the educational reinforcement and vocational
programmes. Volunteers with medical
qualifications are also required.

guatemala, Camino seguro is the operational

sunshine school is a lao school with classes
from nursery to junior high school. activities
include an organic farm and english classes in
somsemai and Veuntaen villages, about 50km
from Vientiane. Volunteers assist in teaching
english and creative activities, developing
educational and pr materials, fundraising,
marketing farm products and other herbal
products, and with farm garden work and the
development of school and farm facilities.
status: the school is non-profit, licensed and
registered with the lao ministry of education
as a private school.
timing & length of projects: the school
prefers stays of one month to one year, but
will accept volunteers for shorter periods.
