If you select Restrict Trims To Subclip Boundaries, you won’t be able to access the
parts of your clip that are outside your selection when viewing the subclip. This
might be exactly what you want to help you stay organized (and you can change this
setting by right-clicking the subclip in the bin and choosing Edit Subclip).5. Try one of the following:
Right-click in the picture display of the Source Monitor and choose Make Subclip.
With the Source Monitor active, choose Clip > Make Subclip.
With the Source Monitor active, press Command+U (macOS) or Ctrl+U (Windows).
While holding Command (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows), drag the picture from the
