Parenting With Love and Logic: Teaching Children Responsibility

When we consider the range of options open to our kids when they’re
unhappy with us — everything from ignoring us to telling us where to go
— the rolling eyes or the steely gaze aren’t so bad. It gives our kids the
chance to save face and retain some control. We all need that opportunity
when placed in a situation we’re not pleased with.
